If you hadn't guessed already the Galactipedia isn't a real encyclopedia and whilst some of the content is real most of it is entirely made up. The blog was set up to record the background details for a wargames Science Fiction universe which has many sources of inspiration. Any element of any entry you see which is in italics (like this one) is simple commentary or explanation and outside the SF universe we are creating. If you want to maintain the illusion this is all real (although we might suggest you need help if you wish to) then just ignore these bits!
